Pumpkin Patch

We sure are excited about fall being here! One of our favorite parts of fall is visiting local pumpkin patches. Hannah's favorite pumpkin patch is Waterman's, because they have a pumpkin eating dinosaur! They just opened this weekend for the season, so we had to head down for a visit.

Here's the dinosaur! They "feed" him pumpkins every half an hour or so and he roars as he chews up the pumpkins. I would never have thought to put this in a pumpkin patch, but the kids love it!

We're thankful to report that the home buying/selling process has been a smooth one for us! We got an offer on our house only 4 days after it went on the market. It was so nice to not have to keep the house in pristine condition for too long, especially with a toddler in the house! The inspections and appraisals are all complete and everything looks to be in line for us to move the first full week of October. Both homes finally have "sold" signs up--check them out!

A Wonderful Wisconsin Weekend!

Labor day weekend, we joined our friends Jason and Rachel, and Kyle and Sarah (and kids) at Jason's parents' cabin in Wisconsin. We were blessed also to be joined by Randy and Rhoda (Jason's parents) who cooked for us, served us lots of yummy drinks and showed us the best hospitality we've seen in a long time! They have a beautiful home, lots of acreage with trails, many toys for both adults and kids...so we were all in heaven! Plus, it was just good to get away and spend time with eachother. Our weekend got even better when we learned we had an accepted offer on our house! 4 days on the market wasn't so bad!

Fun in Florida

In the midst of buying our new house and getting ours ready to sell, we took a trip to Florida! Obviously, not the best timing, but it was nice to get away for a few days and try to relax. We spent a couple of days in a condo on the beach in Destin and a couple of days staying with Jeremy's mom and step dad. Hannah loved it all--the airplane rides, the beach and getting lots of love and attention from Mamaw and Papaw!

Busy summer...and a busy fall!

Whew! What a fun, full summer it has been! We spent the last several months visiting with family, attending 5 weddings, spending lots of time playing outside, potty training and Hannah started school! This fall is shaping up to be just as busy, since we are moving! Within the last couple of weeks, our casual search for a new house turned quite serious when we found "the one" in a neighborhood just north of us. After having our offer accepted, we scurried around getting our house ready to go on the market. It was officially listed on Aug. 31, so now we'll just wait and see how long we'll have 2 homes!

Here are a few pictures from our summer adventures.

We bought Hannah a water table at the beginning of the summer, and she loved it! She didn't seem to care that you're not supposed to sit in it, and used it more like a swimming pool most of the time.

Hannah started "school" this summer and loves it! She went on Fridays during the summer and then switched to Mondays and Tuesdays this fall. We've enjoyed hearing her sing different songs and talk about the fun things she does at school and her friends there. She was one of 3 Hannahs in her Friday class this summer (there were only about 10 kids total!), so now if you ask her what her name is, she'll tell you "Hannah H!"

We had a couple of crazy hail storms early this summer. One started right after Hannah had gone to bed, and involved some "tornado-like" winds, so we got her up and hung around our inside bathroom just to be safe. Daddy went outside to rescue a few of the golf ball sized hail stones, which Hannah loved playing with.

One rainy day, we built our first "tent" with the card table and sheets. This was a favorite activity of mine when I was young, so it was fun to see Hannah enjoy it too!

I had to include this photo, just because I am continually amazed at how tolerant Onyx is with Hannah. Considering Onyx didn't care for children at all prior to Hannah's arrival, I'd say she's made great strides!

These photos are all from Jeremy's cousin PJ's wedding. Hannah and her cousins had a great time playing, digging ice cubes out of the cooler, dancing, and playing with all the curled, colored streamers that were table decorations.

We had a rainy July 4th here in Indy, so we skipped the big fireworks display and opted for a few smoky sparklers on the back patio.

Hannah officially started potty training this summer! Here she is on day 1, loving that I'm letting her have lemonade at 10am. The first couple of weeks were rough, but then she really started making good strides. A month and a half later, she's doing great and we're loving not spending so much money on diapers!

Apparently, triceratops love to play in kiddie pools and on slides. Who knew?

In July, we enjoyed a family reunion with my mom's side of the family in Brown County State Park. We had a great family cookout, enjoyed horse/pony rides and played lots at their new indoor water park . It was a great weekend!

Hannah enjoyed her first baseball game, when we went to see the Indianapolis Indians play. Although, the kids loved the game, I think the highlight for Hannah and her buddy, Josh, was riding on their daddys' shoulders back to the car!

The Indiana State Fair is always a favorite time of year in the Hunter house! This year was no exception- we managed to go 4 different times! Hannah loved all the animals and things to see. She also discovered a new food to love--cotton candy!
